About the Book:
Today, Marcia is heading to the Old Bailey. She's going there to do something no mother should ever have to do: attend the trial of the boy accused of her son's murder.
She's not meant to be that woman; Ryan, her son, wasn't that kind of boy. But Tyson Manley is that kind of a boy and, as his trial unfolds, it becomes clear that Marcia's greatest hope for closure lies with Manley's girlfriend, Sweetie. But can Sweetie be trusted?

Book Review
From the
moment I started reading this book, I was sure that I would be cherishing this book
for a life time. This book holds a
really special place in my heart, the characters, the story; everything about
this book is so much more than just a piece of fiction.
The book
begins with Marcia delving in grief of losing her only son Ryan, Marcia is a
strong and brave woman who wants justice for her dead son, who is killed by
Tyson Manley. Her Courage to punish the murderer of her son leads her into
attending the trial of Tyson Manley. Though she seeks support in her sister and
police officer Nipa, as the trial proceeds she knows that it’s way more
difficult to go through this than she had initially thought. With every page
turned I was hooked to the story more than the previous page. The writing is
brilliant, loved the unfolding of events and the different angles in which the
same incident is provided by the witness of the murder. The motive of murder
and the motive of the murderer for doing so and being in jail is itself a “Collateral
Damage” as stated by the convicts mother.
The story is
so much more than a mere trial of a juvenile boy and the unfolding of all the
events in between the on-going trial are so written that I couldn’t keep the book
down. This novel is written brilliantly and the story itself is devastating and
heartwarming at the same time.
After reading this novel I thanked my parents for the way I am raised and that too in such a safe environment, this actually
made me Google some similar cases in which the novel is based and the results
are heart breaking.
P.S: This novel made me realize that I love
reading courtroom dramas more than anything.
Thanks a lot
to the publisher for providing me with the review copy.
